Lycos and Alta Vista were really good search engines. But yahoo? I’d say today’s yahoo search vs Google’s beta search engine is like the difference between discovering the wheel and using wheels to land a space shuttle.

I can’t say I was never late, but we sure valued being on time a lot more.
ohai:The fact that Google exists makes me 500 times mor knowledgeable than any human who existed before 1990. I can instantly verify or research any possible topic studied by humans. The Internet is basically an extension of human brains.
I think this is an important point. The existence of Google may actually be the single most important development in the history of civilisation (unless you get all derivative on this and claim the internet, or computer or semi conductor or plastics or whatever). And I really don’t think I’m overstating that.
