Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady in the AFC championship would have had TV ratings at SB levels, but the Ravens ruined it last week, and then screwed Brady’s attempt to get his 4th ring. Now it would be nice if the Ravens could get their second Lombardi because they brought down two icons of the game in consecutive weeks, on the road, but I think 49ers will win it all. Kaepernick looks near unstoppable now.
I think I’ll be more productive this two weeks since won’t read anything about endless stories like: “when Jim and John Harbaugh were in kindergarten, they used to lead children around in the playground, and Miss Gill–their teacher–knew that one day both will coach a team to the Super Bowl”. The NFL Network just re-aired an interview with the brothers and the father.
Not that of an attractive game, but I’ll watch the SB wire to wire, because that’s what I do.
Wes Welker’s wife, a true HCB and former Hooters girl, had this to say:
" If anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis’ Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"
Everything that she said about Ray Lewis is true; however, the manner in which she chose to disclose that infromation was rather petty. I have never really been able to get behind Ray Lewis as a result of that incident, but to his credit, I think that he has matured. If I am forced to root for either Ray Lewis or Randy Moss to go out on top, I will root for Ray Lewis.
As a Raven’s fan, Ray Lewis’s theatrics and crying at the end of every game are making it hard to root for him. Also it looks like this forum’s worst nightmare is happening… HARBOWL!!
Lol, the Ravens got lucky? They won by 15 points. Not 1 point, not 2 points, 15. They throughly outplayed the Patriots on both sides of the ball in the second half. Maybe if you had argued that the Talib injury was the inflection point, and not Wes Welker’s drop (it’s not like WRs never drop balls) then your argument could have had some semblance of credibility.
Anyway, I’m sticking with my pre-season pick of the Ravens winning it all. The 9ers are probably a better team on the margin, but then again, so are the Broncos and the Patriots. The Ravens have really rallied around the Ray Lewis retirement story and they should be motivated enough to pull this one off.
“Our passing offense will blot out the sun.” – Colin “Xerxes” Kaepernick.
Also not a big fan of Ray Lewis, but playing 17 years in the league, maybe 10 at top level, can’t be ignored. That being said, he’s full of himself and needs to go.
