24-year old Deutsche Bank salesman commits suicide

I bungee jumped and i had no heart attack. I guess when u’re falling u just freak out.

In the words of Neil Young…“it’s better to burnout, than it is to rust”

“It’s better to live than to die.”

Maybe he did a swan dive.

Dude, come on, everyone knows this stuff. Did whizkid broker Anjool Malde kill himself over web prank? By Stephen Wright, Christian Gysin and Sophie Borland Last updated at 7:37 AM on 10th July 2009 Comments (18) Add to My Stories Party-loving stockbroker: Anjool Malde with model Irra K The stockbroker who leapt 80ft to his death feared he would lose his job after playing a prank at work, the Daily Mail can reveal. Posing as one of his clients, Oxford graduate Anjool ‘Jools’ Malde left a silly message on a financial website. It read: ‘I am hot, I am hot.’ Investigators think this was probably a reference to his client being on a successful investment run. Mr Malde’s client, who works for Brevan Howard, a leading hedge fund management firm, did not see the funny side and made a formal complaint to the company which runs the discussion forum. The resulting investigation suggested that Mr Malde had impersonated the client from his office computer at Deutsche Bank. This prompted the bank’s bosses to send Mr Malde home on Friday pending a full investigation. Two days later, as he prepared to celebrate his 25th birthday, Mr Malde jumped from an eighth-floor restaurant near the Bank of England. Colleagues believe he was convinced he would lose his job. One added: ‘It was a mildly offensive remark which triggered a tragic chain of events.’ Another source said: ‘On the face of it, it was a very trivial incident. But in the City, issues which involve potential loss of money or reputation are taken very seriously.’ Police have found no evidence that Mr Malde had downloaded any inappropriate material on his computer or was involved in any criminal behaviour. Last night another colleague told the Daily Mail that Mr Malde had also been disciplined for sending an e-mail relating to AlphaParties, an events company he ran in his spare time, using his office computer. ‘Bosses were not happy about it,’ claimed one colleague, who did not want to be named. ‘He was given what amounted to a telling-off and a slap on the wrist about that.’ Last night friends said the trader also feared he would lose his job because three colleagues in his department were recently ‘let go’. Mr Malde was working long hours at the bank’s London headquarters and was often at his desk by 6am. ‘In recent times three of his colleagues had been let go by the bank and Jools seemed very worried he might be the next to leave,’ said one friend. ‘Because of the number of people his department had been reduced by, Jools was also dealing with an increased workload and that brought him under more pressure.’ Yesterday his distraught parents - mother Naina and his father Bharat - stayed inside their home in Yarm, near Middlesbrough. Earlier they released a statement in which they spoke of their ‘devastation’ after losing their only child.

Pink - jumping down 6 floor, I dont think he was worried about an open casket KJH - was going to copy the story as well, I’ve done worse pranks on clients and there was no worries about getting fired. I hope all his family are coping at this terrible time…

after reading the story i think he did the right thing. that was the most feasible option. but agree that he should have been more careful in picking what floor to jump from.

That Brevan Howard guy should get hit with a wrongful death lawsuit if the allegations of impersonation are false.

WHAT A LOSER Oh no, he feared he might lose his job. Welcome to the recession buddy. Get laid off, move in with your parents, travel for 6 months, do some studying then get back in the workforce. Happenned to me twice already and now im much better off than before. Homeless people truly amaze me… they have nothing to live for, no home, no family, no friends, no money, yet I sometimes see them scrounging through garbages to collect food , just so they could live another day. but a guy thinks he’s going to lose his job and he commtis suicide. To kill yourself at 24. that’s crazy. even if he went to prison for 20 years, he would still come out young. I think he should have just stepped back and realize that making money is only a very small part of life. so what if you get fired. i guess you can get caught up into believing that work is everything, when in fact it is not.

I am reading that he suffered from depression. So a small thing to us may have been a trigger to him.
