60 Days to Go - what's your plan?

I didn’t read through Ethics at L2 and don’t plan to at L3 (but for the soft dollar & research objectivity standards at L2 and the asset manager code at L3). I’ve done all the practice questions in the CFAI text for Ethics twice, though.

As for GIPS, I kind of skimmed it (meant to read it but I retained so little that I can’t say I actually read it). I’ve done as many practice questions as I can - GIPS is crap. I’ll continue drilling questions for Ethics and GIPS until test day but won’t be reading through either.

Yes, I have left off GIPS and Ethics on all passes through. I am now focusing on both (basically last thing before mocks). Ethics is more the same but just re-reading it and doing the questions gets you back in the frame of mind. GIPS is it’s own animal. I have now read the GIPS material and was feeling pretty good about two thirds of the way through, however by the end it is just overload. My advice is skim through, do as many questions as you can - and pray that it isn’t in the am…

Thanks guys.

I’m taking this beast for a 3rd time. Last year I failed Band 9 and I attribute that to failing Ethics. I highly recommend reviewing ethics and doing the gazillion questions in the EOC.

Starting with Practice Tests next week. Quick chapter summaries and then going right into the exams with notes for a confidence builder. Review weak spots and take more. REPEAT

Also, can’t emphasize enough of taking AS many mocks and old mornings that you can get your hands on. Even if the material isn’t relevant anymore, you can sift through the stuff you know you didn’t read about. All helpful.

lets rage!

amen
