vicky, i am a bit surprised to see your q. i was with you in dec 2012 and june 2013 and you were the one that made me cry (as i couldnt get my scores as good as yours back then) i remember you started a new job few months back. we all know how busy work can be. I worked v long hours and used weekends to check my reports jan-mid april that effectively i only really study past 6 weeks. i remember you said you prefer CFAI books over 3rd party such as schweser. but if you still have many chapters to go, i do suggest you switch to 3p. good luck to you girl, let’s kill this beast
Through the mocks, and past exam papers, can anyone please summarize the topic weights across the different study sessions. This would just help us who are far from finishing the first read to focus on the more important sessions. I just know that Ethics is 10% and GIPS is 5%. I’d like to know in which part is most frequently tested for how much weightage in which part of the exam - AM or PM. I know there’s no set weightings, but there’s surely a pattern that you guys would have seen after solving couple of mocks. Thanks in advance.
btw vicky is a guy
Each question in the AM portion may have an “a,” “b,” “c,” etc. that may not all be on the same topic. It’s asking an awful lot to hope somebody will go through, not just each question, but each “sub-question” (?) and determine historical weights nine days out from the exam.
ah ya sorry… forgot that vicky is a guy hahha… where’s pierre btw
Nope, totally skipping GIPS and the last 2 smaller readings in the FI&Equity PM book. At this point, might as well try to do as many questions as possible.
Anyone with anything on my question on topic weightage?
I was a bit optimistic on Thursday. I only finished book 4, and read only the first chapter of book 5.
6 days to go, I’d better skip the rest of book 5 and 6 and get started on the mocks. Hopefully I won’t have too much work this week, so that I can read a bit at the office.
Everything is under-control.
depressed with job. dint have any motivation 2 study. Just trying to follow startegy of konvexity.com to pass in 1 month :(. Not much hope though
