Anyone know anything about the Actuarial exams?

Looks like actuarial and financial industries are similar in some sense. What are the big 4 in the industry?

damn, now im jealous… i wish i got 5000 for passing an exam

The Big 4 are the Big 4 auditors. PwC, Deloitte, E&Y, and KPMG all have teams of actuaries. There are also large independent actuarial consulting firms like Milliman and Tillinghast.

other big players are the insurance companies like Manulife, AIG, Sun Life. Also reinsurance includes lots of European companies Swiss Re and Muinch Re. RGA Re might have a better presence in north america because it’s US based.

Tillinghast is rolled up into Towers Perrin, which has a sizeable retirement, H&W, and reinsurance practice as well. TP is usually looking for actuaries. actanalyst Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Big 4 are the Big 4 auditors.
