no problem…just remember to keep in mind that my opinion is just that – my opinion. obviously you understand your own career objectives and employment potential than anyone else on this board. however, from what little i know about you, even if i assumed a worst-case scenario in that you are someone that is difficult to hire (which may or may not be true), i still can’t recommend taking such a severe pay cut to work at this company. if that report you sent me is representative of the kind of work that the research firm in question does…well, let’s just say that i’ve gotten some self-written reports from potential candidates that have never even worked in equity research before, that are much better than the one you showed me. to be perfectly frank, it was somewhat of a joke. you might consider soliciting other people’s opinions on this board here, but if you ask me, i was not impressed and would not make the move to that firm if i were you.
