Average AF salary

Masala is delicious… just not with sardines.

It is amazing to me how low these salaries are for “investments.” Looking at a median of 93k and mean of 122k and that includes the outlier considering this is a very small biased sample.

^ What’s your salary cupcake?

cell #19 makes my day - atta boy (girl) whoever it is.

I make 150k base. I also get handy things like housing, taxes, car paid for. But, I had to sell my soul to Ganesh for that.

Who the F removed my compensation details?

^ somebody trying to keep a brother down obvi. Player Hating mods.

how do you post as anonynous?

Here’s the ANOVA table so far:

  • Base case for a tard is $52K
  • add $16k per year of experience
  • add $44k is CFA charterholder
  • subtract $25k if you have an MBA or MF

None of these numbers are statisically different from zero. Our MBA’s must be from India or something’s wrong with them.

Wee need like 100 more people to fill it out to make it usefull

Formatting is messed up (removed table)

“Bonus is paid in additional vacation days”

LMAO. Who is this zip?

^somebody who likes to go on vacation a lot…

Yeah, right. Because you gotta be a moderator to go erase something on an external Google document where everyone has write access.

I think someone probably Edited the same row at the same time.

^ ohai?

Bonuses seem a bit low for buy-side analysts/traders with the exception of the “#11” trader (what kind of desk are they on?) and hedge fund analyst with the “TBD bonus” – any particular commentary around this? “Buy-side” and “trader” could mean many different things and compensation can vary wildly from fund to fund, manager to manager. On the other hand, maybe these “lower than expected comps” are just a sign of the current market environment?

Hopefully things will improve for finance professionals in 2013 but early signs don’t look very promising from what I’ve seen. On the bright side, at least money is flowing back into hedge funds ever so slooooowly.

OK, now everyone pass the link around at work so we can get a larger sample…

Or else I’m putting it up on reddit…

Try WSO maybe? Lots of folks over there. Also whoevers making that 450k…you hiring?

Yeah, $300k bonus is very good. My bonus does tend to be pretty variable, so hopefully I’ll break the $300k mark some day.

Salary without taking into account location is a meaningless stat.

250K in Dallas, I’ll have HCBs chasing me. The same $$$ in NYC, I’ll be renting a $hithole with 5 other roommates.

+1

firewall at my office won’t allow me to open the file but i thought there was supposed to be a location column.
