BitCoin - Wave of the Future or Scam?

What about doge coin? that dog is just too cute

wow. such cute. very dog.

So long Mt Gox. That hurts.

It’s not the currency that’s at fault though. But having unreliable exchanges doesn’t do much to lend any credibility to it.

didn’t see this coming from a company whose name stands for Magic: The Gathering Online eXchange (Mt. GOX). Yeah, I better close out my brokerage account at Pokemon International Bank of Maui, Ltd.

^ The fact that they were originally a trading card exchange should have been the first red flag. Maybe people can get some Yu-Gi-Oh cards back instead of Bitcoins.

I bet niggas will be hoarding Bitcoins like they are still hoarding POGS.

What’s the conversion rate to Beenie Babies?

Has anyone ever seen the show “The Yard” on Hulu where they describe the Yu-Gi-Oh vs Pokemon currency battle?

“An alleged MtGox document circulating on the Internet that can’t be confirmed said the company had lost more than 744,00 Bitcoins in a theft that had gone unnoticed for years.”

Well, just when i hoped i could retire early… oh well, time to start accumulating LTC

In response to the original question: Bitcoin is the scam of the future.

Sounds like we need some too big to fail legislation in the Bitcoin world.

Ha, yeah, well at least taxpayers won’t be bailing out Mt.Gox investors for the next 20 years. Use Bitstamp or (for us in Canada) Virtex. Maybe BTC-E. Wouldn’t touch any other exchange. Litecoin is a scam, I wouldn’t touch it at all. And don’t even get me started on Maxcoin…

I don’t think many people use proper internet safety procedures. It’s scary to think they’d use those same procautions when money is digital and easily transferred

What I want to know is how do businesses accept bitcoins as payments? Do they instantly flip the bitcoin for USD? I would imagine there could be a discount to value since volume/liquidity changes so rapidly.

Idiocy is as idiots do. I sold my bitcoins and put everything into much safer tulip bulbs

Haha. Awesome post man. That’s the first time I’ve heard anyone compare bitcoins to tulip bulbs.

+1

someone sold his house for bitcoins a few months back.

wonder if he kicked it yet.
