Book, ipad ebook or kindle

So I went to the local Staples the other day to test the Galaxy 7. It was a pretty good experience, but I thought the screen was relatively small to function as a textbook/magazine/newspaper replacement so I opted for an iPad 2. I was extremely impressed and found myself using it for like 5 hours the day I bought it. The Bloomberg and CNBC apps are great.

If you like charting there’s a pretty good pay app called iChartist Pro. Lots of customization available for the charts etc. That, bloomberg and cnbc are probably the only finance related apps I use on the ipad.

I have the iPad version of iChartist pro. It’s not perfect, but it was the best charting app I could find when I was looking. I’m still pretty happy with it.

…so the flexibility of kindle/iPad/whatnot is much better than lugging 20 books around in a backpack.

This x1000. I remember carrying CFA textbooks and GMAT materials with me on the plane, what a huge pain in the ass.

Also picked up a nook, so far it’s been a great experience. I miss flipping pages and seeing my reading progress, but the e-ink display replicates paper really well.
