I’m crystal clear now about this one, funny thing
I calculated only the value of the common stock, since common stock + preferred stock = total equity. But the preferred has to be deducted from total equity, using the market value of preferred, and since the preferred is 10$ higher per share than common, I should have deducted only the difference. Second time I got 272.6, after I deducted the difference. First, deduct the preferred dividend from NI, what’s remaining is RE, than deduct the surplus from the difference between market value and Bv of preferred.
