Burning the quran by the florida pastor

Who gives a $hit about this retarded pastor or about some butthurt crazy mullahs??? F@#! them both…we have bigger problems on the domestic front with the teaparty gone wild and holding the country hostage.

Oh good lord. Then you got marcus here who manages to make sameer look intelligent and diplomatic. Marcus, no one responded to your new post in the General Discussion section because frankly, no one cares what you think. No offense, but you’re just some obnoxious variant of white noise on this forum. Find some balance instead of this mindless garbage: “Who gives a $hit about this retarded pastor or about some butthurt crazy mullahs??? F@#! them both…we have bigger problems on the domestic front with the teaparty gone wild and holding the country hostage.”

^ Pot meet kettle? Also it seems you are off your meds. Go back to your psych asap.

and marcus again demonstrates his extreme intellectual prowess!

I respect your pov that free.will is foremost But at the same time riots bring so much pain…actions which have no purpose but to stoke religious sentimemnts should be critisised …I was trying to explain mob behaviour but came across as a religious fanatic…

^Yeah, I figured out after the fact what you meant, it just came across wrong. I got heated cause I thought you were defending the actions.

I just wish people on this forum say what they really think, instead of being so sensitive.

There it is. I was waiting for it. Marcus you’ve outdone yourself again!!!

"You seem to think that you can understand the emotions of muslims when they hear/see/read about burning the book. I am not too sure of that. You might very well say that I am as much offended when my national flag is burnt or when a crab is killed. But how do you know? " So again, would it be ok for Buddhists to massacre Muslims in retaliation for the destruction of the statues at Bamiyan by the Taliban? Or are only Muslim sentiments to be respected?

Anybody see “Four Lions,” it’s a black comedy about English Muslim terrorists? Great fun.

Its wrong and they have no excuse to go on violent romps just because of a silly book burning. To me it seems that they are just using it as an excuse for their violent self.

This Pastor was looking for attention and everyone is giving it to him. I liken this incident to someone leaving their car doors unlocked in a major city and then complaining that someone stole their GPS. It’s not right to steal but anyone with common sense knows, if you leave your car unlocked someone’s going to steal from it.

You walk up to a guy on the street and spit in his face. He doesn’t want to be accused of assault so he lets you go, but he is still angry and goes home and beats his kid. Whose fault is it that he beat his kid? It is his fault. What you did was stupid but it does not justify him beating his children.

@brain, In a court of law I think there would be a good argument for causation. Let’s say, you bully someone and that person then commits suicide because they were bullied. In a civil case, it could be argued that was it not for the bullying this person would have not committed suicide. I’m not saying you would win the case but it’s definitely a legal argument that has been used before; causation that is. But I could see a civil case against the Pastor where a UN worker’s family sues that pastor with causation as legal reasoning. Was it not for his reckless act, this UN worker would not be dead. I agree though that the case might be dismissed.

Zesty, It seems you are saying that the default assumption should be that if you offend Muslims’ relgious sensibilities the expectation should be that they chop off heads. (it’s common sense!) Would you also suggest that this be the default assumption for all religions? If not, why not?
