I will not be renewing my CAIA membership either. $700 for two years is outrageous considering that the CAIA designation has done absolutely nothing for my career in the past three years even though I work with hedge funds, an area of investment management that most people would think CAIA has some value. The benefits touted here, such as 15% off GAIM, bring the price down to a mere $4,300. If CAIA really has value, how about members go for free? I removed the designation from my linkedin profile and resume. Nobody really cares about it anyway.
