the thing is, when you actually become a equity research associate after shelling out big bucks, i think you would regret it. most finance jobs are not what it is cracked up to be in my view. lots of long hours putting together stupid spreadsheet models. that doesn’t turn me on at all. if you like investing, might as well just invest your money. i honestly can’t see how someone would want to spend their days writing trivial equity research reports though and act like its a real contribution but the pay is obviously good. I had the choice of buying a home or doing an MBA. i think you know what i did. GO PAULY D GO!!!
