They sure don’t!! I’ve been through loads of them…although mainly I’ve just used refills rather than buying new pens…slightly cheaper that way. But yeah, they don’t last long at all do they?
Ugh so much unanticipated pen stress.
So for exam day I’ll bring 3 calculators, backup batteries, 19 Frixon eraseable pens, pencils, sharpener, ear plugs, pocket size Arif Irfanullah, and a pulsating sense of impending doom.
Checklist updated.
It really makes you nervous when everyone is debating on pens when all you have planned is to take 2 or 3 old steadtler 2HB pencils with you. Isn’t pencil still better than erasable pen?
I really haven’t found out whats the difference between a pen and pencil? Aren’t there any mocks on that?
I think go with not ereasable pens/pencils as I usually know every answer and therefore won’t have to correct anything I write.
Generally to me this issue seems to be the most complicated topic with this CFA designation and I am not sure I will master it.
easy answer - get a mechanical pencil with a 0.9mm lead. pentel makes good ones. there are super easy to read and there is no need to deal with a sharpener…or perhaps bring a standard pencil and sharpener if you are concerned about a mechanical failure.
Wouldn’t it take longer time erasing than just crossing it out ? I’ll just stick with my regular pen. Go with whatever you have been practicing with!
