Interesting, Frank…I had no idea that is how that came off. What I meant by that, is these people have undergrads, are in their mid to late 20’s and are not pursuing further degrees/certifications. The conversation was about the charter or MBA getting you a job, specifically in Toronto.
turkish, my mistake…i’m just a little sensitive. i have had people tell me that my degree is no good in finance which i have to disagree with. Man, i need to meet some people that can put me in that position though kissing butts has never been my style.
Head out to bymark, vertical, ki, and the keg on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Don’t kiss ass, just meet people, get some cards, ask them if you can give them a call. It sounds dumb, in this city, it works.
Turkish, thanks for your advice. I try to attend CFA Society event and get cards, but I have not capitalize it yet. Guess I have to start drinking. Karaoke anyone?

You don’t necessarily have to drink/get bombed to head out to these places…it’s just a more relaxed atmosphere than CFA society events or other conferences.
