realy need to nail down calculations, practice like crazy to have all formulas memorised
Are the samples worth buying - it is CFA written or 3rd party?
I believe they are CFA endorsed as they are linked from the CFAI siteā¦my poor performance certainly woke me up a littleā¦to continue my studies.
2011 CFAI mockā¦ 58% both AM and PMā¦ I am so Fāedā¦ One of my problems is I finish over an hour left on each sectionā¦ And I have no motivation to go back and re-check answersā¦ This is SUCH a shock to meā¦ I thought I would get minimum 65% considering I was getting 70ās on Schweser mocksā¦ I guess studying like a mad man is the only thing I can do for the next two weeks! Sooo Jealous of you guys who got over 70%!
2011 CFAI Mock A.M. 60% (just under 3 hrs) P.M. 65% (45 min to spare) Definitely work to do but out of all 20 question sets a majority of the misses were from 3 sets so at least my review wont be scattered all over the place. Any opinions on 2010 Mock? Not sure If I should take that next or continue with Kaplan Exam Book #2
2011 CFAI Mock PM Session, 83% ( approximately 2:30 hours) good score, but honestly i still feel like im underpreparedā¦ gonna attempt the AM session hopefully by the end of the week.
CFA Mock Morning 70%. Will be taking afternoon tomorrow.

this part was a bit confusing. As there were no other rates given, that is what i did and it seemed to work. I guess it makes sense, as the last settlement date (90 days ago) was when the new rate was āput in placeā. So even though we are now 45 days in we use that 90 day rate. Its confusing, and im not fully sure about the methodolgy behind it but it worked in this case.
Just completed the CFA 2011 AM session, it was hell on earth, scored 70%.
Can someone explain the answer to CFA Mock afternoon Q4? I donāt get how it is C?
Just scored a 65% on CFA mock AM sessionā¦but with over an hour and half left?!? Going to try the PM but actually spend the time on questions. This is where I figured Iād beā¦Definitely not confident at all, but with over a week remaining hopefully itāll give me time to focus on my weak areas! (e.g., swaps, multinational, ethics) Just took a 5 day break from studying to spend time with the familyā¦looking back Iām glad I did it because now I can focus again (was getting burned out/lack of caring) best of luck everyone
Gave the CFA mock today, scored 61 and 60 on AM and PM Had given two schweser mocks about 2 weeks back and i had scored 55 and 70 on each of them, after which i reviewed all the study material intensively and now i end up getting these scores 
Trying hard not to panic!
managed to pull a 70 on the AM session tooā¦ got some lucky guesses, but made some really stupid mistakes too, so I guess it balances out 
Samples got me pretty good. I thought i knew the material but the questions just seems to leave more doubt in even my correct answers. Plus you gotta love the motivational tone āYou have failedā āYou have scores less than 70% which suggests your preparation and study are not effective:ā

I guess itās not time to panic. Keep calmā¦do a thorough revision, work on practice problems, ā¦it should work out for you. Ethics is a section that can save people in the bubbled area (pass/fail) border area. Prepare Ethics section really well to increase your chances of passing the exam.
Did the mock. Was averaging 84.5% in the first four Schweser exams. Got 78.5% in the 2011 mock. Found it very hard! Noticeably harder than the study provider tests, but not dramatically so. Will study hard this week. A month ago I was thinking there was zero chance, now Iām hopeful. Same can happen to anyone whoās struggling right now.
Got a 70 in the AM and 80 in the PM - I found the PM very easy compared to the AM. So far the hardest exam I have taken is the Schweser Live Mock got a 65 on it. There was no straight forward answers. I will be putting in 100 hrs till now and the examā¦hopefully it will be enough.
