@ JP your friend probably took Sample Exams, as Mock exams are not available yet. They will be available for the first time in a month.
I will start taking the Schweser exam vol 1 tomorrow to see how far I am. I believe all registered candidates should have one CFAI sample exam included in your registration. I did not check mine yet, but if you log in to the sample exam screen, you should see one sample exam purchased. I definitely will purchase the mock exam in May.
