went up to work to study. wanted to get 4 hours in. got about 1.5 hours through and couldn’t go on. took a one hour break, tried to go back to it, only lasted another 45 min. Today is a frustrating day. going to take tomorrow off and hit it hard on Monday.
These days happen. Don’t let it get to you. Most of the days will be average, but you will have a few good ones that offset the bad. Keep you head up.
I have wasted my whole day too due to illness. Going to go out for the Auto show tomorrow - which coincidently is held at the CFA exam center :-(. Hope to get fresh staring Monday and rebound on those books. FML!
if I was any of you 3, i wouldn’t be worried abotu losing a day or 2 or even a week. you guys have no idea how many ppl are far far far behind in reading the material even once.
If you can’t concentrate it sounds like you’re burning out. Don’t feel guilty about taking some time off, it will make your study time that much more effective. I make sure I get enough time to work out and have the occasional dinner out… your brain can only handle so much at once and its better to come back with a fresh mind!
same here. Just completed Ethics and now will start PE around 8.30

yea taking breaks is a must
I like auto shows also, so what?
I don’t know about you guys, but I always set really high expectations for what I want to get done in a day. Hardly ever do I actually get it done. I hate that guilty feeling.
I have to update my calendar every few weeks because I set the bar pretty high and NEVER meet all the goals I created. However, I probably get more done that way than if I aimed lower, and as long as we’re making progress that’s all that counts, right?
i took yesterday off to study, but only got in 2.5 hours. i probably would have gotten more done if i went into work - it was nice to relax though. today, i went at it for about 4 hours, and when i took a 15 minute break, i fell asleep for 3 hours…

It was a great display of cars or should I say chicks. A day very well worth spent!
nice one. i took a break away from the forum too. vegged out alll day and watched tv. even took a break from my healthy eating habits and scarfed down a whopper w/ cheese large value meal (with onion rings!) ZING.
I didn’t do anything all weekend. FML. Burning out, still need to finish PM. My saving grace is that I’m through equity on my second pass as well. Still though, FML!
I have had many days like that…I used to get really pissed off at myself and spend the whole day trying to study and getting nowhere. Now, if I see the day is ending up to be one of those, I just accept it and watch a couple of movies and don’t use my brain at all…I am usually ready to go the following day. Best, TheChad
^The best thing is to take a break and NOT LOGIN TO AF! The moment I login here - I freak out and want to hit the books again, since people are posting questions day and night, each day every day! I hardly connected to this site for a total of 15 mins on Fri+Sat+Sun.
