I was at a stationary store a few days prior to the exam as I was considering getting one of these Frixon pens. I was about to purchase but a lady working at the store informed me that they have incidents with people writing standardized exams (i.e. exams which need to be transported in trucks/be outside in the heat) which, by the time they get back to wherever they’re being marked, come out blank - apparently heat erased the ink. She said they had multiple cases of people coming kicking and screaming (and some even crying) and blaming them.
Don’t mean to scare you guys, I’m sure you will be fine. The worst part is there’s no way to even know if this happened to you with the CFA exams as you never get them back.
C’mon. People don’t need this right now. How hot would it need to be inside of a cardboard box to erase the ink? Lets worry about what we can control versus what random situation we can conjure up in our minds.
I used a pencil for the exam, but I doubt the packages inside the UPS truck would get to 140* F they have to transport all sorts of items that could potentially get ruined at those temps.
Though , made a lot of goof ups in the AM have a gut feeling that would just scrape through. [AM-60% and PM- 70%] and sincerely wish that they pass a lot many people this time may be 55%
