I love ranting about Ethics so I think I’ll do it again. So right are you about the 10-80% range, I think we al
The one question about the “website” was completely unfair. I had to go back to the book following the exam to figure it out, and it was literally one word that made the answer right or wrong. I can’t believe how deep it was.

I found that question odd too but thought it came from GIPS that I didnt have the time to even touch. Funny thing is I found ethics easy with nearly all C’s as answers. As someone rightly said, its 10-80%. Ethics = No guarantee whatsoever

When I first looked at the PM session I thought it was deadly but when I looked at it again everything started making sense, did anyone feel the same or everyone thinks PM was pretty hectic?
In PM there were some soft questions and a 1-2 items seats very possible to score 6/6… but overall more difficult than any mock or topic test or schweser practice exam
I felt good after the test, but honestly IDK what to think now.
I think it really boils down to how partial credit is awarded, I feel like its a big mystery. Schweser mocks were much better than the old exams with regard to how questions are scored(assuming Schweser isnt full of chit). I’m amazed at how many AM matrices have 8+ sections <50%; like how does that even happen? The only explanation is that people get confused and answer a question that isn’t being asked.
In the AM session I answered very fully. I even went over each response adding correct puncuation before moving on. It was going very well until the proctor announced 30 minutes to go and I had only completed half the questions. I scammbled to answer what I could, but left much blank.
The PM was not too difficult. I studied my butt off. I was getting 90% on mock multiple choice exams. I was determined to pass on the first try.
Lessons learned:
Do AM mocks with time management in mind
Follow the time guidelines in the exam
just answer the question directly and suscinctly and move on quickly
I am probably not getting extra points for proper use of the semicolon.
I’d have to score very well in the PM and have nearly perfect answers for the ones I did answer in the AM to pass, but I am resigned to doing this again next year. ;;;;;;;;;;
Snow, time management is a major issue for most candidates. Invest in a digital chrono timex watch ($20), and attempt to complete each written set with about 3-4 minutes to spare. Makes for good practice, and muscle memory conditioning. At least enjoy the summer.
I have no idea if I passed, but did focus on time management with AM Mocks the last month because it was obvious it would be an issue. My approach to the exam was to hit the low hanging fruit first, the things I’ m best at so I could stay level or ahead of time. Focus on your strengths. Hit 80-90% on the topics you excel at, and you can live with 30-50% on others, considering they are done with more time pressure.
Twice during the am session, I stopped for a minute to count total min remaining in test and total estimated minutes of questions I had not answered. I came just short of answering everything, lea
Ethics fair? Far from it. Every question is designed either to trick you…or it is straight-forward but requires the recollection of ONE SINGLE sentence of text. Absolute nonsense with no purpose other than to drive scores down.
Yes, including some horrnedous crossing out when reviewing one of my answers in the five minutes I had free after finishing the last question. Not sure if I gained points or lost points there – should probably have left it alone…
