I don’t believe they would keep me from taking the exam but I got an email from CFAI saying the descrepancy does matter so I had to call them, fill out the form and email a copy of my passport over.

I don’ t want to take a chance.

I seriously doubt this would be an issue, but I agree, I wouldn’t chance it either. Just keep calling until you get someone kind enough to change it.

Tell CFAI and Get it changed. Middle name does matter.

Rang them last night.

It does matter. On the form it said needs to be done within 3 weeks of the exam to guarantee it would be processed. Called again asking if they could potentially push it through (given 10days to process + 24hours for a new ticket), to which they said they can’t guarantee it, and to just submit it through ASAP.

I did that, change was processed within 3hours, and have my new exam ticket less than 24hrs after identifying the problem.

Check and double check your ticket and get onto any changes ASAP

YES MIDDLE NAME MATTERS.

When they mean name “must match exactly” they mean exactly that
