pretty good essay and honestly there is truth. school is supposed to be for learning, but in truth it is used as a filtering system. with that said, if u want to win, u gotta game it. forget reading the book. read the summary… take the practice questions. watch the movie.FTW.

Going to Harvard or Stanford, or the like, allows you to show off your junk without turning people off. Some state schools are pretty hard to get into from out-of-state. The difference in the caliber of the in-state and out-of-state student body is extreme, but nobody knows. You only get to put Hacksaw U on your application or linkedin profile. I think the ability to show your junk without looking like a tool has underestimated value for life.
Go to Harvard, Yale, etc., for the branding…pass on the Hacksaw full ride.
