Easy Question

yeah nvm. i was wrong about meazza being right! meazza was wrong!

Even at 106/94 = 12.7 So 1.0903 * 1.127 ^1/2 = 10.8 I’m confused lol.

it’s 11.02. But nevermind reggie, I see what your saying. If u bought the same stock a yr later and it was worth more than the stock u previously purchased must be worth the same amt

I did it totally different from you guys and got 11.02%. 106/86 and then square-root the hell out of it. 1.110206. Subtract 1. Isn’t this what time-weighed return is? total return adjusted for one year?

I ROCK

If I knew how to ADD it would of been correct.aahahahahaha no really that funny, kinda makes me wanna vomit.

Jan 1 06 - Stock Purchase $86 Jan 1 07 - Stock Purchase $94 Jan 1 08 - Sold them both for $212, $106 each. 94/86 - 1.093023 HPR yr 1 106/94- 1.12766 12766 * 1.093023 = 1.23279 ^.5 = 1.11031 - 1 = 11.03%

I got 10.8 because of rounding. If you use 12.7% you get 10.8. If you use 12.7659574, you get 11.02%. So I did it right but I rounded like a mothafucka.

Set calc to 9 decimal places

I did lol. I just wrote it down on my book rounded. Anyways from my experience taking these tests, they usually are pretty flexible with rounding. And if not I’ll fail again. Oh shucks.
