Thanks again guys, especially clos83 and bidnodge. Very good insight. Yes these positions are both on the buy side and they deal with Institutional clients only. I feel lucky as I’ve got options. I guess the PM role will suit me a bit more at this point in time in my early career. I guess can get some fundamental knowledge from the CFA program and then I can re-evaluate my position once (if) I pass Level III. I just need to get my foot in the door as they say as I’m not currently working directly within the markets.
Can a research analyst be compared to a football player and a PM the coach. Just because you’re a good football player, doesn’t mean you’ll be a good coach and vice-versa…?
