For those who Passed, Can you give some advice on how to pass?

Most of the people that responded in this thread were 2008 test takers, this thread was developed right after the exam results. I stand by my advice above.

Sadly, I’m still lurking. Worse, on a Friday night. After 2 fails, passed as follows: 1. Schweser study notes. 2. Work all problems in CFAI readings. 3. Study CFAI readings in weak areas. (Alternative assets for me.) 3. Work sample PM cases from past exams (probably most important point). 4. Review – Combo of Secret Sauce and Schweser Notes. Regards, L8

I passed 2 for 2, ONLY with Schweser!! And now I’m studying for the third, still with Schweser! I don’t agree with NES when he means CFAI books are necessary…maybe I’m wrong, but I’ll do all with Schweser and let’s hope! Bye! JL

Just a nice bump for the evening.

wow! I feel so super motivated … thanks to everyone who contributed and thanks wandering for bumping this one

Found it motivating to go back and read this, so gave it a bump. Unfortunately, “start early” is a bit of a moot point now!

My advice: work hard! Everyone learns differently. I didn’t pass level 3 yet… but I am pretty confident I will… I hope =/

I really think people who answer this question with “work hard” or “practice, practice practice” should be taken out back. I mean, this is Level III, not Level I. People here KNOW what it takes to pass this exam. I really dont think they’re looking for “study” as an answer.
