thanks for understanding wzupdok, thats what i was trying to mention. Contrary to what ontheuptick says, there were two answers in the 900’s, 920 / 980. Apparently he cant read or member the question, instead he lips off on here. At least I know there’s one competent person on here (wzupdok) that understood what I was trying to say
>Re: FSA balance sheet exposure Posted by: ontheuptick (IP Logged) Date: June 9, 2008 08:17AM The concept of “Exposure” is one thing that I never heard about from Stalla, but luckily I had studied from both Stalla and Schweser. Both of them have their strengths/weaknesses. ______________ Stalla had one practice exam question that dealt directly with this, otherwise I would have missed it. But I agree Stalla was weak in the curriculum regarding “exposure.” (Stalla also indicates the term “Translation Gain/Loss” applies only to the Temporal method, but apparently the term is synonymous with CTA, so I missed that question thanks to Stalla.)
I got 660, can’t remember the calcs, I studied CFA though, not Schweser, may be wrong…
No prob, da-man - it shows that the time pressure on the test draws in a lot of wrong answers - live and learn! The thing for me is that I had it in my pre-test rehearsals to look for year-end balance sheet tricks - and when it came to performing - I lost a bit of mental discipline. Oh well - I can blame the a/c in DC - it was cold!! At least I brought my jacket because I remember the a/c from the previous year!
I only remember one number in the 900’s…
In Europe definitely one answer in the 900’s
