Game of Thrones: Season 7

I suspect they’re actually going slow compared to the speed it’s going to take on now. We’re on the 5’th episode already and Jon is with Dany. In the season trailer there are shots of him fighting people in what is obviously beyond the wall.

He seems to be fighting some weird hooded men and finally stopping when seeing some little kids (Children of the forest?) and then runnng away? My guess is that everyone south of the wall thinks Jon is dead giving a twist to the Littlefinger Sansa dynamic before he rocks up with reinforcements in the Children and the final season is all just flash and bang with a big fuck off war

I mean the only way to go out on a high is to throw as much money at it and make it visually over the top kinda like the only villain after Joker had to be Bane

I rewatched the latest episode last night and during the preview for next week’s show they give a very brief teaser of Jon Snow meeting a dragon.

Second head of the dragon confirmed?

at some point Jon is going to piss Danerys off, she’ll order the dracarys on him, he will survive, and his lineage will be revealed. The true heir to the iron throne will then be Jon and their marriage will unite the North and the South.

You done alright Ned lad, you done alright.

I am not sure if the story is going to go around recruiting people to ride these dragons. It’s a bit too Power Rangers for this author. Anyway, I think the ending needs to be more F*ed up. Everyone is saying oh, Jon Snow and Daenarys will win and then everything is lah dee dah. However, this would be quite a disappointing result for people who follow the series due to its unconventional twists on the fantasy genre.

I’m just disappointed that Hodor died, as this rules out the theory that he will be the king of all, which I was hoping for before this.

When you put it like that it sounds pretty lame, but that’s entirely what this story is about.

^ I think the ending won’t be all flowers and sunshine. Pretty sure several popular characters will meet their doom. Jon and Dany will probably marry at some point, but I doubt they both survive. Jaime will likely die in some heroic fashion, as will Theon (why else is he still around otherwise?). If Jon lives, either Arya or Sansa probably bites it. My general predictions:

Jaime will kill Cercei and die valiantly not long after

Jon will live as king of the seven kingdoms

Dany will die in Jon’s arms, having either been killed in battle with the White Walkers or after sacrificing herself to help defeat the White Walkers

Arya dies (not sure how)

Sansa becomes Warden of the North as the only living Stark (Bran doesn’t count because he’ll go live in a tree)

Tyrion is returned to Casterly Rock as a lord and Warden of the South

Sam figures out a way to save the world, quits the Citadel, and becomes Lord Tarley, living out his days with what’s her name and Little Sam.

Bronn gets his castle

Little Finger is killed by Arya with the dagger he gave Bran

Davos becomes hand of the king

Jorah dies saving Dany, which allows her to die later in a way that helps defeat the White Walkers instead.

Varys is found ot have been a traitor and is roasted

^I agree with 80% of that. Lord of the Rock is Warden of the West though. The Warden of the South were the Tyrell’s in Highgarden. Now…not sure. We need to get Dorne involved again but there’s zero people left so not sure who will get the South.

GRRM says the game of thrones has no second place. So I think all but one person who is contending for the throne among Jon, Daenarys, Cersei, etc. will have to die. Also, I think the “losers” like Theon, Tyrion, Jorah, Sam, (maybe Jamey now as well) should get a happy ending. I don’t think Jamey will die - it’s more poetic to have him live with all his regret. I think Arya will go into the wolf body, then the human body dies, then she becomes a wolf. Remember, you read it here first.

^Specifically, GRRM said the books will have a “bittersweet” ending that not everyone will like. The show is so different now though, I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended completely differently.

In either case, I agree one head of the dragon will die and almost certainly a second. It’ll be interesting to see if the prophecies of the Prince that was Promised and Azor Ahai (two different prophecies, that’s overlooked by many) play any role at all.

i think sam becoming a lord will be more fictional than dragons and white walkers.

Well if Jon is in fact Azor Ahai then in order to fulfill the prophecy I think Dany is going to go in a pretty tragic fashion. Jon and Dany fall in love. In order to bind Light Bringer, Azor must temper the blade on the “heart and soul” of his beloved.

jon’s character is more heroic than dany. i feel his chracter should do the dying and sacrificing. dany should win the the throne cuz she is an ambitious title seeker, and to end the chaos, she should marry littlefinger but only in title. sansa becomes his mistress. there you go. bittersweet.

arya assassinates the white walker leader with her new valyrian dagger.

My bad on the Rock. Bronn did specifically ask for Highgarden, so perhaps that will be his reward for helping win the war against the White Walkers. Maybe Jaime dies saving Bronn. Bronn will have to have a bit of history with Jon before it’s all over though, so perhaps he and Jaime don’t escape from the battlefield but become Dany’s prisoners instead. I have no idea where things go with the Hound and the Brotherhood. Both Beric and Thoros are on Arya’s list though, so probably doesn’t end well for them.

Dany was keenly interested in the fact that Jon had sacrified himself for his people. I think she’ll end up emulating that.

I think at least one member of each major house needs to survive, because sequels and marketing for future spinoffs, amiright? After GRRM dies (which realistically, could be any day now), someone is going to want to milk this puppy to the max. So most likely Jon lives, but if not, then Sansa. The other siblings are kind of off the reservation. Daenarys should die, because otherwise, her story is just getting some dragons and then owning everything for no other reason, and Jon can be her house representative anyway. What happened to Gendry anyway? See, all the Baratheons are dead, but they need one character who can ressurect the line if needed.

Rumor has it that Gendry reappears this week or next. Guess he got tired of rowing. I think the spinoffs will be prequels.

Bran is kind of the wild card. I remember in the Hodor episode where he was being attacked by the dead and warging into Hodor while at the same time looking at Hodor in the past and telling him to hold the door and how that basically destroyed Hodor’s mind. Something like that will probably happen again. It is interesting to think about what Bran may have put in motion in the past that we don’t know about yet.

It’s possible that everyone dies fighting except him (or at least his mind).

Yup, should be warden of the West.

Samwell will be Warden of the South in higg’s scenario (Tarley’s are from the south). Another good shout would be Brienne, I believe Tarth is from the south as well.

My prediction (as originally intended by GRRM before he was lapped); white walkers win, remnants go back to Essos, Jon takes dragons and remaining nights watch to old valyaria to make more valyarian steel and seek the wundewaffen

Good stuff.

What about Lyanna Mormont tho?!

It’s specifically written in the books that this is how the original Targaryens took Westeros, each dragon has a rider.

The Warging theme has died down in recent times but I would not be surprised to see Bran warging into a dragon when the battle for the North begins.
