The theory is that Bran warged back in time to convince the Mad King to make the wildfire to fight the others back then, but the Mad King went nuts because of Bran’s voice in his head and just started burning and killing people willy-nilly.

I’m not sure how much influence Bran can have on the past. The Hodor situation raises a lot of questions, but I think that’s going to be a one-off type of event. Introducing actual time travel doesn’t really fit in the ASOIAF universe. I’d be pretty disappointed if that’s the case.
The Night King is probably an ancient Stark. That would make the most sense for the show. In the books, there isn’t any night king. Not yet anyway. There was a Night’s King who was one of the first Lord Commanders of the Night’s Watch. He married a wright woman and the wildlings and Starks teamed up to defeat him.
What about the theory that Varys is a merman? He wants to use the dragons to melt the ice in the north and create an underwater kingdom. Seems like a likely direction for the story.

The patron saint house of analystforum should really be littlefinger, that scheming businessman. Or lannister. But littlefinger is cooler. And I feel like hes more of the research type, and lannister is more I banking.
Seems like the Iron Bank of Bravos would probably be the best fit.
