^ very sad indeed, sometimes I feel there should be an alternative to this Investment Banking BS.

Well, if you don’t want to deal with superficial people who only care about glamor and money, you should not be in finance.

She was pretty smart, but we always speculated that somehow her family owning a bunch of seats on the NYSE played a part.

On a contrary, the best in finance are not glamorous at all and very smart indeed. To put it simply, If you aren’t making money, you aren’t worth a dime.
