there is a radio shack next to my gym - so i figured i’d just buy the best sports headphones they had ~$35 they broke within an hour. 1 facking hour. the right ear just completely went out. fack. I think I need waterproof headphones.
can we talk model numbers? these look a bit wacky https://www.motorola.com/us/accessories/music/wireless-headphones/
thinking of treating myself to some wireless headphones. any brand recommendations? I’m looking for good value, i.e. cheap but works well.
i just got jbirds for xmas and they seem to be working well. I do a lot of movement and they havent fallen out yet.
was thinking more like $30.
Skullcandy will have crazy sales every so often on the website. I think I’ve combined a buy one get one with a 50% off coupon in the past. So I would buy 4 pairs, which would last around 2 years total. I get the earbuds with the clip that wraps around your ear. They’re ok.
I bought an expensive Nike pair once with metal clips, and they still broke after 3 months.

For workouts or just general not-being-wired-to-your-phone?
I have the LG Tone-700 and it works pretty nicely. I’ve even run with it and the phones don’t seem to fall out of one’s ears that easily, which was a surprise to me. I don’t see that model for sale anymore but you can get some of the next version up inexpensively on Amazon, like the 750.
It works pretty well as a wireles mic for your phone as well. People don’t seem to notice that I’m on a bluetooth mic when I talk, and that’s a good sign.
If you need something that really doesn’t fall out of your ear at all, try the Backbeat 903 or 903+. I can’t find them on Amazon, but eBay has them still. There are some newer headphones I’ve seen on amazon that loook like they’ve tried a similar form factor, but I haven’t tried them.
looking for a good workout pair, and not just doing dumbell curls and flexing in the mirror. i need something that can withstand a lot of motion. i’ll check Backbeat, thanks.
…also want to have the range to put my phone aside and not have it on me while jazzercising.
I’ve had decent luck with the Axgio Vigour Sport headphones (available on Amazon for $20). They probably aren’t as nice as more expensive brands, but they have been good for me over the last eight weeks or so.
