Harvard is better than Vanderbilt. So is Stanford.
But not as good as Wharton. You should probably go to Wharton instead.
MBA is not a requirement, but just citing examples of guys who’ve made it is not really a basis for argument. You have to take the decision based on the a priori chances of getting a result, what maximises your chances of getting where you want to go? Vandy is a good school IMO.

I still believe that most people would do better to get an MBA, even if it’s from Vanderbilt, than to not get an MBA at all. I think that at 50, when you’re vying for the Executive Vice President position, an MBA from Vanderbilt will win out over a BBA from Harvard.
