how difficult should CFAI make the CFA exams?

Maybe, But i think they could divide them up and make the exams a little bit harder and also making us focus on less material for an exam would make us understand the concepts better and not depend on some lucky guesses on the exam to pass like it happens to a bunch of people.

Then it would become like college, where you can study for each final exam by itself. It would be horrible to the prestige of the charter

The goal here is a massive encompassing of material tested all at once, because that’s how it will be in the real world, you need to know all the moving parts of finance to be an effective PM

And there would be much more costs involved for grading, renting test locations, higher exam registration fees, coordination of curriculum material sending… a huge mess. there’s no way CFAI would do that

Completely agree then it becomes like the CPA with 4 parts, or the bar with 9 parts, which is why you have 28309284093 CPAs and lawyers out there. Passing the bar or getting your CPA is no accomplishment whatsoever. The structure makes it pathetically easy as you can just study for one part at a time and flunk the rest, and then just come back a few months later in the CPAs case, about 4 months later in the bars case and take the parts you failed.
