Still in ‘work experience review’ status even though they approved my 60+ months. Should it not move to ‘under review- society’ once they approve your experience?
Just approved, seemingly concurrently by CFAI and my local society. It’s a big relief, I can’t wait to get the physical charter. Submitted on September 20th, took 13 days in total.
What society are you with? I contacted mine and they told me it normally takes them 1-2 weeks after CFAI approves the work experience.
New York Society. I’m surprised it happened the same day as CFAI, but someone else here posted that happened. I think it’s par for the course to have to wait for your local society and I think it depends on the society.
Finally got approval from my society. CFAI took about 11 days and the society took 3 days, so 2 weeks overall. Paid my dues and now im officially a Charterholder…although nothing feels any different putting the letters behind my name.
31 Days from submission and 9 decision days remaining.
Glad I’m no the only one still waiting. Been under society review for over 2 weeks now.
I’m still waiting too, under local society for 5 days. I’m in Hong Kong.
Toronto has got to be the slowest to approve! I submitted my app on Sep1 1th, and the local society is still in awaiting approval, with 9 days showing as left.
I canceled my app with Toronto, resubmitted to North Carolina and was approved in a couple weeks. Pressing a button shouldn’t be this hard
Just paid my dues, I can find my name in the member directory and the 3 letters are there, but I have not received an email yet telling me that I am a charterholder. Don’t dare to use the letters yet! How long does it take for the mail to show up?
I’m at 39 days since submission and 1 decision day remaining! Toronto society as well.
Submitted on 10/10 morning. Approved by CFAI 10/12 morning. Now Under Review by Boston Society. The staff told me they meet every week now after exam result (usually every month during quieter time). I’m guessing they meet on Thursday or towards the end of the week. Have been dreaming about being approved / rejected endlessly the past three days!
Submitted on 25/9, approved by CFAI on 5/10 and approved by local society today (15/10).
THE CFAI DIPLOMA IS HUGE… how am I gonna put this into a frame and where should I hang this? :-)…

Finally got my Charter in paper form today. Was not expecting such a giant certificate.

How long does it take to receive the charter in paper form in South Asia/South East Asia.
CFAI said that they had sent by request on 08 Sep. I was to receive the same by 08 Nov.
Still have not received it. CFAI said that I can apply for replacement charter free of charge.
I intend to do the same but just wanted to confirm how much time does it take to receive a charter in South Asia/South East Asia (from date of award of charter on the website).
