I was firmly behind Greenie until I read that he verbally agreed to show up Saturday and then decided not to at the last minute.
^Yeah, I suppose that was a lame move. In hindsight, I should have told him from the first that I wasn’t going to do any overtime. But I’m not sure that would have been any better.
Actually, no. I don’t feel the least bit bad about it. I know how this sounds and I’d probably think the same thing if I were you guys. And I’d normally never do that, but in his case I’ll make an exception. I won’t stoop to name calling and petchulant dick measuring contests, but I did draw the line and I’m okay with it.

WOW, your old boss is unbelievable, I tend to go the civil route but his behavior is completely unacceptable. I could just tell how little respect he had for you by how much he was paying you with your type of credential, how does he expect you to put in the hours he wanted without adequately compensating you? I would just tell him to f*ck off at this point.
