I think your understanding of this mantra is skewed. It means to find girls that make you work for it (hence the chase). What I’m trying to convey is to go after quality rather than quantity. As for what to do when the chase ends - well that depends on the person.

You are right. I see it as the opposite – the preference of quantity vs quality. Once the chase is over (no matter how long it took) the guy gets bored and moves to the next target.
I’m going to disagree. Those who have had FWB, how many times until you get bored? 2 or 3 times, maybe even once? Psychologically, the true reward from sex comes from the effort and how hard it was to get it.
