But I will disagree with a couple things: 1) Please don’t ever put Kennedy and Obama in the same sentence again. 2) People haven’t gravitated to the Tea Party because their message is simple, they’ve gravitated away from what isn’t working. Obama and the Dems simply are not working right now.

What I have is an intolerance for those who, whether it’s from blind partisanship, racism or stupidity, believe EVERYTHING Obama has done is the Worst Thing Ever, and agree with the Republican’s governing policy of “Oppose every single thing Obama tries to do”. He usually paints a picture of how much the poor suffer (which I agree are our problems)… But he then will say, to solve our problem, we need to tax the “fat cats” so they pay their fair share… Isn’t that divisive? I would prefer a president saying, we need to encourage the fat cats invest thier money in businesses, create jobs, and train the unemployed for their next job opportunities.

Do you have anything to say, or are you just going to take potshots? He put reforms on the table, but yeah, he refuses to slash them. He’s still a Democrat. Are you saying there’s something wrong with him because he’s not taking moves from the far right wing of the Republican party? That’s like criticizing GWB for not raising taxes.

Since when is stating the truth taking potshots? Yes I realize that he’s a Democrat. Does that mean he’s exempt from taking criticisim on his policies? A “smart” president would have realized that entitlement programs are the root of all evil in this country and need to be addressed. Obama either doesn’t understand it or refuses to acknowledge it.
The notions that Obama is the smartest person in the US and GWB is the dumbest are each greatly exaggerated.

What a tool. The money has already been spent on the wars. Nothing we can do about it now. Right now, entitlement programs are bending this country over someone’s knee. Time to cut them. I can only pray that someone gets into office with big enough balls to make it happen.
I’ve been a republican since the beginning. And honestly, raise taxes on the wealthy and cut spending. I’m disgusted at the GOP holding hostage our nation’s credibility just to save taxes, and for once, I’m with the democrats on this one.

Even if the Republicans had caved in on taxes, the Dems wouldn’t have agreed to slash welfare, medicare, public pensions, or social security. So what’s the point? The deficit cannot be trimmed without eliminating entitlement programs.
Correct me if I’m wrong, didn’t Obama go to Oberlin and THEN transfer to Columbia? Not really that impressive. Getting into Harvard law is somewhat impressive but doesn’t make him a genius in my mind. I have friends that went there. Sure, they are smart, but mostly they are just motivated and selfish.
