Private equity and venture capital are considered dream jobs for alot of people in finance, and let’s be honest, the fields are smaller than you think so their openings are limited.
And also, I don’t think you understand the industry well enough because if you knew, you wouldn’t be looking for an “entry level” job in those fields, because there are simply NONE. (unless you count the secretary as an entry level job in the field)
Considering there are numerous job cuts everywhere (eg. Goldman Sachs), there are PLENTY of experienced and qualitfied, probably chartered, candidates in the market fighting for those dream jobs.
My conclusion is that, nothing is impossible, but you may want to have a backup plan!
