DO NOT ENLIST if you already have a 4 year degree. The recruiters might try to get you to sign enlistment papers as it is quicker for them. All those recruiters want is for people to sign on the line. The only reason to enlist is if you are trying to get into a spec ops position like Navy SEALs or USAF PJ/CCT. As it is very difficult to get an officer slot in these billets, some people with college degrees enlist, gain the pin/qual and then get commissioned after training. The only problem with this is that if you fail BUDs, you’re gonna have to wear that silly enlisted sailor uniform on a boat with no chicks for at least 4 years.
