Week 7 - they set the MPS. That was last week…week 8 (this week) and 9 are all about quality control and processing internally…invariably, we do not need to fret…pass and fail have been determined.
1 thing i know for sure, those who nag a lot are the ones who ACE the exam … Last year most people who passed were nagging and scared shitless and when the results were out, they passed with flying colors … so please just CUT THE NAGGING …
Bilal i disagree i think naggers are those on the cusp, band 8 to just pass. If u are sure of pass or fail u would just wait to confirm. I think the extra paranoia on level 3 due to uncertainty on esssays
ALSO - I just found out I will be on the road at meetings all day on the 6th. Oh well, so much for constantly being on AF and enjoying the misery with everyone! Thank god I finally got a good smartphone.
could be worse, my new boss is in town for a bi-weekly visit. Not thinking he’s going to want to watch me refresh my email and make phone calls to friends and family about the results.
+1; for all you care, those nagging do it because of one or two questions of the lot that they failed to nail. Some went in there for the top 1%. A minor scare may have severed that top ambition, hence their frustration.
I’ve never been this nervous about any of these exams like I have been with this one. Ever since I left the exam room it’s been on my mind, no matter how much I try to get it out. As theblackswan said, “scared shitless” pretty much sums it up.
Yeah actually either the misery ends or the misery begins. I saw some of the reaction in level 2, the self doubts creep in and whether to do it again. Scary stuff. What if it was just a matter of labelling your answers correctly. Wish u could pay for some kind of post mortem. Makes a fail a whole lot easier to digest and future decisions easier…thoughts?
I lost out on 20 Points (Out of 120 Pts.) already in am session, due to my lack of writing speed, now getting 80 points out of 100 will be a daunting task.
You have to nail the afternoon session (minimum of 80%) to stand a chance. We were told this by charterholders. Even though, it did not make any sense to me at the time they said it to me, but after the exam, I understand better. The am session will always be the monster. To survive the fight, the pm session must pay!
I’d say shooting for 100 is probably the minimum you want. That means probably any score >70 (my guess) in the afternoon is an overall pass. I hope anyway.
Bobice, I have already have my references in the local society verified and approved by two CFA charterholders whom I know. But I didnt pay the dues though, wisely decided against it Well, I dont know if thats the reason or if the reason is that I failed. Will know only on 6th anyway! Haaa…
Not writing the candidate number would be taken care by the test center proctors mate. At the end of the tests, the proctors sit there and arrange the papers. They easily find out who forgot to write the number. I am SURE of this because someone in my test center forgot to write their number and they had to find it with his/her seat#. I heard the proctors discussing this as I had finished the test and was sitting idle. 100% sure, so dont worry mate & Good luck!
