i finished fixed income a couple of days ago and it was some of the more straightforward material in the curriculum, really good stuff i’m going through derivatives right now and it’s annoying as hell - i keep having to go back every 3 minutes to look up the rationale behind the formulas they implement
Oh, so you think you can hide and finish the curriculum while we sit here and struggle, do ya? I will remember this
Derivatives is the only subject that I am really dreading…

I hope everyone brought their race shoes to work today. The action starts in a few hours. Redbull and espresso not required, but recommended. If you get too tired, you can just take out that sharpie marker and cross out “Redbull” on the can and write “Sleep.” Yeah, thats right, go ahead and have some “Sleep.”
I am stopping everything that I still have to cover and going back to doing FSA because I need to explained like a baby on how & why these adjustments are done the way they are done. I don’t care even if that takes me 1 week because with FSA it’s not about time; its about getting the concepts down the throat.
the guilt i feel is immense. i’ve been on a bender all week and it’s not going to stop until my friend leaves town on sunday. sunday = i go to study church and pray for redemption. i’ve been a bad, bad girl all week long. still taste tequila from last night and i’m headed out to see maceo parker tonight even. oh dear. FM(fun)L.
you know what we do to bad girls, banni

FM(fun)L. Maceo Parker is the man though. enjoy. I think he’s touring with some of the old Parliament members.
I must admit, a good motivator for me is to post on the score release day in August: “All sections >70%.” To this end, I will make whatever sacrifices and do whatever it takes (within Code of Conduct). No messing around and no excuses. Just hard work until I’m exhausted, then a bit more. Repeat.
Who would be up for a themed study weekend? Ie SS 10 tonight SS 11 tomorrow SS 12 Sunday Or whatever anyone is bent on studying. We could drill and practice the specific sections as a board and cover a ton of ground together.
It’s crazy! One day has passed meaning that I only have one day left for this weekend study. Seriously, with the fast growth of CFA candidates, I think the stock of commodity producers like coffee or Redbull will become seasonal (June/December) soon… BRB soon
i’ll be on SS12 tomorrow ditch so right there with you homeboy
You all are ahead of me. Putting in 27 hours between today and tomorrow. Right now, I’m on “If the planed assets exceed the pension obligation, the plan is said to be overfunded. Conversely, if the pension obligation exceeds the plan assets, the plan is underfunded” Making slow and steady progress. Expect to be finished with in-depth study by Cinco De Mayo – with 30 days of review.

Nice work this past weekend everyone - cjones was killin it in ATL, banni kicked her friend to the door on sunday and had a fine dining experience with equity, SG cracked his whip on FSA, Aliman hit econ so hard his brain turned to mush, but is now the econ master (and hates it). sublimity studied so much he went into a delirium and became a cartoon writer, and DD2 is progressing through the topics nicely, as am I. I expect nothing less for this next weekend . . . Juliet
Hahaha, you make me laugh phil. Nicely done.
Good work! I say we have an SS6 weekend. That is one brutal reading!
