Internet fight!
Hey Black Swan–when I posted this, I was trying to defuse the “missle vs. gun” debate in a way that wouldn’t make you look like a complete asshole. But you seem to be determined to remove all doubt.
I will freely admit that you’re right on everything that you’ve posted (except the snarky comments). And your continued persistence on making others look stupid and making yourself look brilliant is only making you look more like a jackass.
You don’t have to be right all the time. If I pointed out every typo/spelling error/grammatical mistake that you make on a regular basis, that would be a full-time job. But that would just be nit-picky and stupid. And it would detract from any kind of meaningful conversation that we could have. (Kinda like this.)
So I guess what Sweep and I are trying to say is this–just let it go. You’re not earning anyone’s respect by fluffing your own feathers and making people feel dumb all the time. All you’re doing is alienating people who might otherwise actually respect your opinion.
Ok, to be fair he took a jab at me with his comment when I really hadn’t intentionally said anything to irritate anybody. From there I just latched on and was trolling him with the “I’m smarter than you” comments, I do it because the irritation it caused him balanced out the irritation I felt at having to go to lengths defending what was in my mind a relatively benign point.
That being said, I am still a narcissist, although it’s not nearly as bad IRL as it comes through on the internets. The main difference being that I really genuinly do not care if people think I’m a dick online. It’s a great repreive from giving a shit at work.
A) You vastly underestimate what it takes to irritate me, particularly over the internet. There have only been three people on AF to ever actually piss me off and you’re not one of them.
B) Are you sure it was you doing the trolling? Take another look at the first page. You’re the easiest person to get riled up on AF and you’re extremely predictable. You can’t let anyone have the last word, ever. Nor can you concede even the slightest fact. You’re about the easiest target ever. You were being rude, so I fucked with you. Mission Accomplished.
C) Regarding your statement below - I always have time to coddle you, BS.
I’m quite certain that Blake was one of them. But I’m curious as to whom the other two are.
If I were guessing–it would be somebody else on the banned list. Isildurr, Xray, or vcfah.
I guess that depends on whether or not you think I enjoy what I’m doing. Because believe me, my level of irritation over here is suprisingly low, I just love taking jabs at people so take from that what you will.
I also just really, really enjoy the opportunity to factually win an argument at any cost. I won’t even bother to call it a debate, I just love the process of arguing. If I can do it annoymously and tell people they’re idiots at the same time without consequence, even better.
You tried to look like you knew what you were talking about and I proved your ignorance to the topic. Mission accomplished. I guess you’re only trolling if the other person doesn’t really enjoy what they’re doing. It’s like crack for me.
The fact that you and Greenie kept trying to appeal to my image on this forum was laughable and telling. It’s a f*cking annoymous nerd forum for a collection of some of the most boring people on the internet. Who cares?
^^Nope, I rather enjoyed Blake, though he did cross the line at the end of his tenure. He was really good at what he did. Gotta respect that on some level. *Actually took some thought to combat that neckbeard.
One is no longer active, that would be Dwight. He pissed me off becuase he was so sincerely stupid. The other two are sporadically active so I won’t give them the satisfaction.
The Indians don’t get my blood pressure up. I equate them more to the fruit flies that find their way into my wine. Extremely annoying, harmless, and containing minor amounts of protein.
*As I’ve always said, no one should ever start a sentence with “Actually” but that was more of a sentence fragment so I’m letting myself slide.
I just regret that an innocent thread regarding an elderly statesman being annihilated by heavy military weapons has descended into such a dramatic exchange.
