I graded a couple of Level III AM exams this year.
I personally believe after looking at Kaplan/wiley, levelup by Marc Lefebre is the best. L3 is a different beast where the topics are not solo or stand alone but need to understand how one topic is connected to another topic. Marc explains it really well in is videos and also his slide deck is the best. He does the curriculum and blue boxes which are extremely essential part of studying L3 but also explains with examples the concept.
I’m definitely doing the LevelUp Bootcamp but I’m a bit confused as to if I should buy Schweser as well or if what is included with is sufficient. What did you do? Thanks!
Level Up is definitely worth it… pass or fail it breaks down the CFAI reading and Marc knows the material very well. The blind spots missed by the mainstream service providers is unreal. Did I mention his average pass rate is 84%? Much higher than the actual pass rate so he’s doing something right!
Another bump for Levelup bootcamp. Get the videos and START EARLY. Come to the bootcamp prepared.
What if you cannot attend the bootcamp, is the videos and slide pack still worth?
if so, i may go this route and then buy IFT and KS exams separately if i need the practice.
Has anyone gone to Windsor Week for Level 3 or heard anything about the quality of the instruction? I’d be curious what you thought. Thanks.
Any provider selling in separate package past essay exams and their solutions?
Or will the last 3 exams accessible from CFAI be sufficient?
Thinking Kaplan did a great job prepping me for level 2 because the exam was calculation heavy and answers were straight forward. For level 3, though, KS was a major let down. They were trying to make it level 2 --a calculation-based exam, even though 3 is not.
If you can stand looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time, perhaps Bloomberg would serve you well?
I heard a rumor from a Level III candidate that Level Up and Marc are releasing Level II videos and a bootcamp - anyone know if there’s any truth to this?

Wiley’s online platform was absolute crap! Very slow to the point of not working. I do not know if it is fixed now, but honestly, it was almost like i was giving them a piece of mind every single day for the garbage pricey platform instead of studying
