Pay for any time he continued to stay there, no need to be around if not asked for + PV(1 year salary). I think I heard something to that later, over a coffee, when he had secured his next job and had time to tell the full story. I don’t think people are allowed to carry any guns in the country where this transpired, though. (It’s in the EU.) Edited: Actually the PV was paid out in portions over a full year so technically, when he had landed his next job, he was employed at two organizations at once. Two portions of pension benefits were paid for as well.
I saw it at my lost job. Some people would just be in denial over the fact that tey got laid off and would spend hours making sure their desk was organized and asking if we needed any more help sorting out their work before they left. Pretty sad…
Maybe they thought they could get their jobs back by hanging around and keeping themselves within sight.
