Lenny Dykstra -- financial genius or con artist?

Oh yeah, has anyone seen/read Jim Kramer’s quotes about Dykstra? This is looling like another Bear Stearns call from Kramer. He called Dykstra one of the “most naturally gifted investors” he’s ever seen. hahahahahaha Is there any truth to the rumor that Tony Siragusa willl replace Dykstra as resident retarded ex-jock at the street.com?

For those who had been following this story last year… Last hurrah for LennyD, the genius stock-picker and option trader. http://www.cnbc.com/id/38593414

@ Level 2 guy Saw a prior post saying that jagoff was king compared to JDV. Couldn’t find jagoff’s post under his name, and searching under your name to retrace back to jagoff only gave me 2-3 years worth of your comments. AF search is a bit weird. Was jagoff’s sn really ‘jagoff’? Help please…

I posted alot more often when i first joined AF in 2003. It was the wild-west back then, where you can any imitate anyone as there were no log-ins/pwd required. The username was free-form that you can enter on a post by post basis. Also, no word filters of any kind. So it’s too bad that Chad decided to keep only the last 2-3 years’ material searchable. Jagoff - basically a troll that quickly (within 2 to 3 weeks) reached legendary status on Charterstuff.com. He pretended to be a BSD and took on and ass-whupped any challengers who dared to question his status. No education value but highly entertaining, and is a must-read. Unfortunately it’s difficult to find the material now even with the help of Google cache. If anyone has them, please post. JDV - came on in 2006 as a young pup. Then started to help quant wannabes with a wide range of questions, thus elevated himself to deity status for this current crop of posters. No comparison to Jagoff as JDV was real, knowledgeable and had substance. Honorable mention - a poster named bigchinnnnn. I think he still holds the record for the most posts on AF. Knows his stuff and posted often everyday on finance and non-finance stuff. Finally got a trader position at a BB (my guess was GS from his hints) and was never seen again on AF.

Jagov is down the road from the AF University. He parties in a frat house with some of the other old timers. Those in the know are familiar with the site. Jagov is simply hilarious.

L.D. is a flat-out crook/liar. If 65%-70% of your trades are successful, you’re a god. Sure, there are a lot of traders who like to factor 1 or 2 tick winners to boost their percentages but that stuff is easy to spot. I spent 8 years on a futures trading floor (2000-2008) and those guys would get nailed by compliance all day long. One trader, at the house I cleared at, went 72 for 74 in a short period of time. The exchange was all over it once he went over 80% with 20 trades. They didn’t stop him cause they wanted him to dig himself in deeper. Turns out he was recycling his losers into a different account. He was always under the radar of the house because the transactions were so small. Anyways, now that trader is driving a commercial bus for a casino in Arizona. No Joke. Losing is part of trading. Those who don’t lose, don’t trade.
