Hey Spain - where do you get your 40/60/80 score? Interested to see how close I was to failing
Edit: looked it up, sorry thought CFA provided it. My 40/60/80 was 66% so I guess I barely passed lol

You get it from http://www.300hours.com/level-i-results.html#.Vqkj5CqLTIU
Hi Folks, I failed CFA level 1 December 2015 exam in band 10. My score was under 50 in Derivatives, Portfolio mgmt, FRA, between 50 and 70 in all remaining subjects except Equity. I got more than 70 in Equity. I think I failed because of very few questions in FRA. I was studying with full dedication and I am a very optimistic guy. I will crack level 1 exam in June 2016.
That’s what I have written before the exam

The exam went well for me. though I cannot tell it is going to be enough to pass.
Hard to say how I have scored in each topic, but I can just share a feeling I had when going through each topic and after the exam.
Ethics - unexpectedly hard. Even some types of questions were like nothing I’ve ever seen in CFAI topic practice, CFAI Mock, or Schweser practice exams.
Quantitative Methods - unexpectedly easy. Was very surprised with how shallow the questions felt. I guess Schweser has prepared me well for the exam.
Economics - was relatively easy - but I was upset because, I was simply not prepared for some questions. Should have focused more on CFAI topic practice, which was the best proxy. Schweser did a terrible work on this one in my opinion. Some questions gave me a shitty fealing of: “oh, it is so damn easy but I just don’t remember it, because I saw it only somewhere in CFAI end of chapter tests long time ago”.
Corporate Finance - felt easy, though some tricky questions bluffed me. CFAI mock/practice was the best preparation for this one.
Financial Reporting and Analysis - though questions were not hard, I feel just as insecure about my performance in this area as in ethics. Before the exam, I expected FRA to be my stronger part. Often when choosing an answer I thought “if they mean it the same way as in mocks then it must be this answer”, but I always had a feeling it is somehow different. Schweser didn’t prepare me well for that part.
Portfolio Management - felt easy.
Equity Investments - felt really easy. Most surprising was the fact that the questions could have been answered really quickly. But 1-2 Questions I was not prepared for.
Fixed Income - felt really hard. I should have focused more on CFAI mocks/practice and not Schweser.
Alternative Investments & Derivatives - felt relatively easy.
All the info based purely on a feeling. Maybe in reality all the “hard things” I got right and all the easy things I got wrong. You never know
I passed.
And here are my results:
Alternative investments > 70%
Corporate Finance > 70 %
Derivatives > 70 %
Economics 51-70 %
Ethics 51-70 %
Equity Investments > 70 %
Financial Reporting & Analysis > 70 %
Fixed Income 51-70 %
Portfolio Management > 70 %
Quantitativ Method 51 - 70 %

Mostly surprised by Quants, since it seemed really easy and I was very confident that I had above 70% there. FRA turned out to be my stronger topic though I felt insecure about my answers after the exam.
