While overseas, she also ran a CIA “black site” — or secret prison — in Thailand where suspected terrorists Abu Zubayadah and Abd al Rahim al-Nashiri were waterboarded in 2002, NBC News confirmed.
Haspel was also one of the CIA officials present at the interrogation Zubaydah, an Al-Qaida terrorist suspect who was waterboarded 83 times in one month and harshly interrogated in other ways until it was discovered he had no useful information.

She frankly has a better background for heading the agency than Pompeo. She also has a career in the clandestine service, so while I’m not sure in what capacity she served (language, field officer, strategist, etc.), she is not a politician or pure bureaucrat which I like. She purportedly ran a black site in 2002, which in the wake of 9/11 and the belief in another imminent threat was basically the “do whatever it takes” mentality. Due to her role in the site, which was sanctioned by the POTUS at that time, she was passed over for later roles so she probably has an axe to grind against some of the Dems.
I give her under a year in the position, because I don’t think she’ll do whatever Trump wants and kiss enough hiny.
