you might be a few hundred off but the direction was right, I give you props for calling a strong rally, go have yourself a PBR and let us know what is going to happen Monday.
Will do. Have a great weekend everyone
Pure luck call - i didnt see nominations listed anyhwere in reasons for rally. Have a nice weekend
You are making a great point - and why I am very skeptical of Fundamental Analysis for that reason - you can’t foresee the unforeseeable. The call was lucky, but made based on technical, volume, psychology more than anything. I thought it was more probable of a huge rally, than a huge sell-off. That’s all

That’s all good call, i did the same, but sold too early, still got a profit :).

and boom goes the dynamite…market will go down next week
what of Obama nominates GWB for secretary of defense? Then we’ll have a big rally.

I was on fire
I don’t think finance professionals should play roulette or any other unfair game. Why would you do that?
Unfair? Is that what stats profs call games with negative expected returns?
Yes. It really is the probability way of describing it.
I was joking. Is it fair if everybody knows the odds going in but still plays? I never understood why you would play outside of paying for entertainment. I only play poker at the casino, but that is because I think I could maybe be better than half of the table. Of course that is what all the suckers think…
I hate casinos, gambling, lotteries, etc… Someone makes me king of the world and everyone can bet on sports, politics, or anything in which superior insight gets rewarded. Not which slot a ball lands in.
Joey, that’s what Taleb preaches: Live by which slot a ball lands in and accept that.
