I will have to resort to the rhetorical flourish known as, it takes one to know one. Who are you calling hypocrites? A few weeks ago you declared the army a hopeless, bloated, inefficient, system of baby killers. Now you advocate sending the army to the border to handle a minor situation that involves lots of…wait for it…babies. So essentially you believe that these migrants’ children deserve to die for this giant crime of fleeing a veritable war zone?
Keyboard warriors? take a look in the mirror. No one donating money? Have you checked with red cross, unicef, care or others, of course not. No one volunteering to shelter migrants in the US, um wrong again, check with the articles on numerous religious groups stepping up to aid refugees from all over the world, as guided by that guy, what’s his name, I forget, oh yeah…Jesus.
The army does suck and is filled with deadbeats and baby killers. That’s not hypocritical, still a fact. But they’re also useful for simple manual labor like this that’s more on their IQ level. That said, I’m not advocating anybody shooting at the caravan, Jesus I know you’re an indoctrinated moron but obviously that’s not where this should be going, of course you would suggest that. Lol, who besides you is suggesting killing migrant babies. The army was a good choice for you.
I didn’t say nobody is donating any money. Again, failure to comprehend simple reasoning (your Army is showing). I just said most of these urban libtards trying to take the soapbox don’t walk the walk. Look at the uncared for homeless in SF. They don’t care for their own communities, only want to say this stuff because undocumented migrants in the South West won’t impact the North East and ultimately the vast majority don’t donate their own time and money, they don’t walk the walk. Funny you mention the help of religious organizations, because they’re always so well loved by the left.
But don’t take my word for it, the deflections and defensive responses I’ve received made my point for me. Bunch of keyboard warriors and hypocrites.
There are tons of groups fighting for affordable housing in these urban cities. It’s extremely difficult to go up against moneyed interests, just look at what happened with the head tax in Seattle. Amazon swept right in and the city council buckled instantly. Then if people try to form a mass movement and get out in the streets you complain about that too.
Honestly what are you even talking about? You’re just a reactionary old man yelling at clouds, as usual. Nothing to see here.
The clouds started it. Be that as it may, affordable housing options typically aren’t the same as improving homeless care (most suffer from psychological issues, drug use and are unemployed) so its a non sequitur.
The Seattle head tax , officially the employee hours tax ( EHT ), was a proposed head tax to be levied on large employers in Seattle, Washington, United States. The head tax was proposed in 2017 to fund homeless services and outreach and was set at a rate of $275 annually per employee, with hopes of raising up to $50 million annually.
I get that, but you brought up affordable housing. I addressed that. Separately you have the head tax. That’s great, I’m sorry it didn’t last but there’s a couple things. It’s sort of the same issue, they could have raised state income taxes and put it on the actual population instead of the companies. But of course they didn’t for the same reasons I mentioned above. Liberals all want it as long as someone else is bearing the cost. Secondly, none of that precludes those populations on the left coast from just handling this stuff through the obvious route of real estate taxes so again, sort of a non sequitur. Point is there are masses of homeless out there in some of the nations richest states and they aren’t being properly cared for. Everyone can point fingers around but it doesn’t change that reality.
So, just to rewind a bit, no one can think our leadership’s response to this migrant caravan is gross unless they are actively housing homeless people?
You’ve really constructed some bullshit here. Why even talk about anything, really?
Lol, oversimplify much I said people acting morally appalled at a strict stance on illegal immigration should make sure their personal life reflects their soap box. If you’re going to campaign for open borders we should be insuring we can care for the homeless citizens we have. It’s not ridiculous to point out that people can watch four hours of Patriots football a week but can’t spend four hours helping at a homeless shelter. I mean you’re free to have whatever views you want that make you feel good about yourself on some moral high ground, I’m just free to point out that it’s mostly bullsh*t. Liberals want all the policies that feel into their carefully constructed view of the world from within the bubble. As long as they don’t impact them and they don’t have to contribute anything directly. Same reason a bunch of libtards in Washington got their panties in a bunch when Amazon refused to pay their homeless tax because it was inconceivable they just lift real estate taxes on themselves…
Have you ever gotten your ego checked out by a medical doctor? There is no way it can be healthy to be carrying around something so large.
You say I over simplified but you basically just repeated the gist of what I said. Are you seriously pulling the “Haha you enjoy things yet complain about society, very curious. Owned with logic and reason” card? There’s no way people can be an activist and also enjoy sports.
Its truly impressive you can sit there, accuse other people of being NPC’s while sharing bad boomer memes, recycled Fox News propaganda and scream “winning” without an ounce of self-awareness. Let me guess what’s next, a “U mad?”.
Ok Pepper, real talk. Obviously I’m trolling you for a reaction, (although raising some valid points) but you’ve also obviously been trolling this place like Turd’s communist alter ego.
I didn’t get a chance to tune in, was saving humanity.
Haha, I’ve been flipping back and forth between that and BC. The whole Big 10 is a mess, I’m an LSU guy (no affiliation always just liked the team) so we’ll see. I’m going in with realistic expectations.
Let me recount your greatest hits… You don’t know what the word “fact” means. You constantly state your opinion and declare it a fact. You criticize the media for all its biases but then when they report info you like, you declare it the truth. You google random facts and scold everyone else to read books. You assume because you haven’t seen something (like people donating money or helping immigrants) it doesn’t exist. And my absolute personal favorite, you rag on the military…after announcing you joined the marines but quit because you might get sent to a war. No, no, we completely understand, you were joining the marines who dig wells in third-world countries to bring fresh drinking water. You heard the marines have a great dental plan. It is always the cowardly lions who advocate sending in the army, how ironic that you call out people for being keyboard warriors.
