I thought about insuficient effort but the texbook defined insuficient effort not as laziness but as spending too much time on projects not related to the core business. (at least that is now I remember it).
Anybody remember the excess return question in AM section? At beginning, I had no idea what it is asking…
7 + 2.5 = 9.5; 9.5 - 6.5 = 3 excess return
Thank god. Then why exactly does it give us so many detailed information on the fund? I thought they want us to apply the formula Ending balance = Beginning balance + investment income + contribution - distribution… sandy_capone Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > 7 + 2.5 = 9.5; 9.5 - 6.5 = 3 excess return

How about the two disadvantages of bond sector rotation vs. equity? I made up something like 1. relative credit spread changes so need to look at total return 2. duration might end up not matching liabilities this question is beyond me…
I put bond market is less liquid so costs might be higher… Don’t remember the other one… Ponpon
In DB question, below avrage risk in all 4 categories correct?

after hearing from several individuals who were rewriting this year that the morning session was even worse than last years, i thank the stars i managed to get by this thing last year. looks like the days of high pass rates on the third exam are going the way of the dodo.
So pissed… I answered “Self-Dealing” thinking they were asking which one was MOST LIKELY. blah!! another stupid mistake that might cost me big time. Anyone get an answer for the # of contracts on that last question in the AM?
The level of difficulty in this years exam was less then 2007 in my opinion, but the time needed to complete it was longer in my opinion.
